  • Cauliflower 1 sm
  • Egg 2 pce
  • Panko breadcrumbs 100 g
  • Flour 80 g
  • Milk 2 tbs
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil 200 ml
Step 1

Take a small head of cauliflower and divide it into small florets. Take 3 small bowls add flour into one, egg, milk, and salt into the second, and panko breadcrumbs into the third.

Step 2

Take a small saucepan add the vegetable oil in and turn the heat to medium low. Slowly heat the oil while battering the cauliflower florets.

Step 3

Start battering the florets by rolling it into flour then placing it into the egg mixture then finally finishing off with the panko breadcrumbs. Place the battered florets on a plate until every one of them is battered.

Step 4

Fry the florets in 2 batches. Don't overcrowd the pan as it will reduce the temperature. This will cause the coat to be oil and soggy rather than crispy. Fry until golden brown. This should take about 10 minutes rotating every 2 minutes. Serve as a starter or as a side, it's delicious dipped into some mayo or blue cheese mayo.
