Tea Biscuit

- Plain flour 250 g
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Caster sugar 100 g
- Egg 1 med
- Vanilla essence 1 dsh
- Salt 1 pin
- Soft butter 90 g
Sieve the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl and set it aside.
In a separate bowl cream, the soft butter and the sugar together with a hand mixer for a minute then add in the egg and the vanilla essence. Mix until pale.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mix, combine until the dough is formed. Cover the dough with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 165 Celsius degrees. Lightly flour a clean work surface and roll the dough out to about 0.5 cm thickness. By using various cookie cutters cut out the biscuits.
Take a baking sheet line it with baking paper then transfer the biscuits on to it. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
