  • Green beans 400 g
  • Onion 1 sm
  • Garlic cloves 2 clv
  • Bay leaves 3 pce
  • Chicken stock cubes 2 pce
  • Water 1 l
  • Vegeta seasoning 3 tbs
  • 10 % vinegar 2 tbs
  • Vegetable oil 80 ml
  • Flour 2 tbs
  • Water 200 ml
  • Yoghurt 100 ml
  • Paprika 1 tbs
Step 1

Take a large saucepan add in the green beans and cover it with just enough water that it goes above the green beans.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and the garlic and add it in with the green beans.

Step 3

Add in the vegeta seasoning (available in Polish shops), two chicken stock cubes and bay leaves.

Step 4

While the green beans are cooking prepare the roux (thickening) by taking a small saucepan. Add in the vegetable oil along with the flour. Let the flour turn to a light golden colour. Next, add in the water and paprika and by using a whisk mix it smooth.

Step 5

Once the green beans are soft add the roux and mix until smooth. Let the soup come to a boil then turn the heat off. Serve with fresh bread and more yoghurt on top.
