  • Spaghetti pasta 150 g
  • King prawns 180 g
  • Onion 1 med
  • Canned plum tomatoes 1 pce
  • Tomato paste 2 tbs
  • Cream 40 ml
  • Brown sugar 2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Garlic 3 clv
  • Pepper 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil 2 tbs
  • Vodka 80 ml
  • Water 40 ml
Step 1

Finely chop an onion, add it to a skillet along with 1 tbs of vegetable oil. Cook until it turns translucent. Next, add in the roughly chopped garlic along with the king prawns. Pan-fry each side for about a minute then remove it from the pan.

Step 2

Add in a can of plum tomatoes to the onion base along with the tomato paste, cream, vodka, and 40 ml of water. On low heat cook the sauce until it turns thick this will take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Step 3

Once the sauce has nicely thickened use a hand blender to blend the sauce.

Step 4

Take a large saucepan add in 1 tbs of vegetable oil 1 tsp of salt, the spaghetti pasta, and just enough water so it covers the pasta. Cook according to the packaging. Drain and set it aside once done.

Step 5

Add the prawn back into the sauce as well as the spaghetti pasta. Cook them together for about a minute. Serve it with a side of garlic bread.
